A drawing of All-on-4 treatment from Implant and Periodontal Wellness Center of Arizona. You have seen the ads and the commercials, sound too good to be true? It’s not!

This treatment protocol of replacing a full arch of teeth with a minimum of 4 dental implants and connecting the teeth all in one day has been an exciting advancement for people facing this challenge.

The All-on-4 dental implant procedure requires significantly less bone, making it a viable option even for those who have experienced bone loss.

Additionally, this procedure often avoids the need for bone grafts, making it a desirable option for those considering a switch from traditional dentures.

The beauty of this treatment is that you never have to wear a denture! We have been offering this dental implant procedure for over 10 years with great success and happy patients.

Not all Teeth in a Day/All-on-4 Techniques are Equal

What You Need to Know About All-On-4

  • The original protocol uses four implants but for greater versatility and stability we typically now plan five implants at no additional charge.
  • Just like any dental/ medical procedure this needs to be customized to the individual patient’s needs. Cone beam computed tomography is used to plan the procedure, allowing us to assess critical factors such as teeth, soft tissues, nerve pathways, and bone density.

    • We plan each case with our specialized dental laboratory with proprietary software that is the best in the industry to achieve the individual outcome our patients desire.
    • Our cases are all 3D CAD designed and FULLY guided to allow the most predictable results and limit the surgery time. Most other protocols are partially guided. Being FULLY guided allows us to have a superior long-term temporary pre-fabricated instead of an acrylic denture converted at the time of dental implant surgery.
    • Our long-term temporary is Titanium and milled out of special high-quality material that looks and lasts better than denture acrylic. Our temporaries don’t break and they look amazing!
  • Typically with All-on-4 protocols, additional bone grafting is not performed at surgery. However, implants need at least 2-3 mm of surrounding bone for long-term success. We bone graft all of our implants at no additional charge to ensure sufficient bone density.
  • Our implant procedures are performed with IV Conscious Sedation in our office.
If you or someone you know is either in a denture now, facing the possibility of losing all of your teeth, or simply dentally exhausted we understand and we can help find the best dental implant treatment for you at the Implant and Periodontal Wellness Center of Arizona.

All On 4 FAQs

What Are All-on-4 Dental Implants?

All-on-4 dental implants are a technique that allows for the replacement of an entire arch of teeth using just four strategically placed implants. The jaw bone plays a crucial role in supporting these implants, ensuring their stability, and preventing bone deterioration. This method provides a stable and permanent solution that closely mimics the look and function of natural teeth.

How Do All-on-4 Implants Differ From Traditional Dentures?

Unlike traditional dentures and traditional dental implants, which rest on the gums and can sometimes slip or cause discomfort, All-on-4 implants are anchored directly into the jawbone. This allows patients to enjoy new teeth more quickly due to the use of temporary dentures. This provides enhanced stability, eliminates the need for adhesives, and helps preserve jawbone health by preventing bone loss.

What is the Recovery Process Like After Getting All-on-4 Implants?

After the All-on-4 procedure, patients may experience some swelling and discomfort for a few days. A temporary denture can be attached during the healing process, allowing patients to maintain an aesthetic smile while waiting for their permanent dentures. Over-the-counter pain relievers are often sufficient to manage any discomfort. It’s advisable to rest for a few days post-surgery and adhere to a soft food diet during the initial healing phase. Most patients can return to normal activities within a week.

Are All-on-4 Dental Implants Suitable For Everyone?

While many individuals with missing teeth are good candidates for All-on-4 implants, suitability depends on factors such as overall health, jawbone density, and oral health status. Proper dental care is crucial in determining if this treatment is the best option for you. A thorough evaluation by a dental professional is necessary to determine if this treatment is the best option for you.

How Long Do All-on-4 Implants Last?

With proper care and maintenance, All-on-4 dental implants are designed to be a long-term solution, often lasting decades. Dental implant surgery involves placing the implants into the jawbone, and during this process, patients receive a temporary prosthesis. This temporary prosthesis aids in the healing process and provides stability as the dental implants integrate into the jawbone before the final prosthesis is fitted. Regular dental check-ups, good oral hygiene practices, and avoiding harmful habits like smoking can help ensure the longevity of your implants.
